The color

Fawn is the dilute form of cinnamon. A fawn kitten carries two copies of the cinnamon allele (bl) and two copies of the dilute gene (d), so both parents must carry both. That double requirement makes fawn one of the rarest British Shorthair colors. The coat is a pale, warm beige with a rosy cast, paired with copper eyes.

What we look for

  • A clean, even fawn tone with warmth, not gray
  • Copper eyes with good depth of color
  • Classic British type and a dense, plush coat
