The color
Silver British Shorthairs carry the inhibitor gene, which turns the undercoat almost white. Against it the black tipping looks sharp and dramatic. Silver shaded (ns 11) has more tipping; silver shell or chinchilla (ns 12) is the lightest, most luminous version of the color. Silver tabby and silver marble patterns are also part of our program.
